Again and Again

Mark Romanek's photo stills from the movie are breathtaking!

ADVICE: please dont watch the film first. Read the book first. You will understand a lot more that way.
I got Never Let Me Go DVD today! Me, my sister and my mom spent our saturday night watching it. My sister and I were curled up in lil balls just getting teary eyed. I dont think I will ever grow immune to this movie's series of emotional roller coasters. Honestly, after reading Never Let Me Go I couldn't get over it. I cant go on a long rant about why I hold it dear to my heart but its just told in such an intriguing way of story telling and a deeper message of what it is to be human. Ishiguro is a creative mind. Its best I stop there cause I could go on for days! Bring up this topic to me in person and you will get some compelling insight. trust me. After reading the book, I read it again and went to the midnight premiere in L.A. with my buddies to see it in theaters and then saw it 2 more times after that and now I got it on DVD. im ridiculous. so whenever I need to hold on to a pillow real tight as my baby for the night, then you'll know that im ready to slip in the movie and cry my ass off.

and speaking of that scene, I found the original recording of the Never Let Me Go song. thank goodness!

on my days off

Basically the past few days I've been lying in bed like a sick ole dog and barely breathing through my mouth due to my congested nose. i wont get into details but i dont think ive ever been this sick. i spent my day off at court for 3 hours, sitting there sniffing my nose so loudly the lady next to me wasnt even discreet and just kept staring at me. 75 dollars, a runny nose, blood shot eyes and three hours later i finally dealt with a long and excruciating process of fixing my fix it ticket. so unnecessary. Spent my whole day off lying in bed with a towering pile of tissue papers and watching Amelie. there is one thing i love about being sick: 1. being treated like a highness and 2. watching movie after movie.

Current status: still deathly sick, but getting better thanks to Lena Dunham!

Im kind of a ridiculous fan. couple years back, I used to religiously watch "delusional downtown divas" which starred Lena(first name basis) and when I came across this new movie she's starring in and directed, i basically almost went nuts. and im not saying this cause im a big fan, but the movie looks GREAT! and im about to watch it as soon as it finishes downloading. oh and im downloading the free soundtrack. i know, im kind of ridiculous.

a read you'll never let go

I usually never take the time to write about things that aren't in somewhat related to fashion. So politics, celebrity "news", coldplay... novels or things of that sort usually never cross paths with my blog. i leave that to others. anyways, there comes a time where you take a moment to read a book, in my instance thats like every week since I'm in a book club. I must admit, I've been lacking in finishing everything on time due to my full tim job that is sucking the life out of me, and the only thing id let that do to me would be bill or eric(yes, true blood refernence). So I finished this lil book just last week and have been dying and dying to finally chat about it. this lil imfamous book was in TIME magazine book of the decade! "NEVER LET ME GO" by Kazuo Ishiguro. I wont give anything away, but I strongly advice you read this book immediately.

Very few books make me cry. come to think of it i dont think i'd ever cried this much for a book. its phenomenal and with the movie adaption coming out soon I just don't think I'd be able to stay sane till october, for the release date. The movie stars Carey Mulligan, Keira Knightley, and Andrew Garfield and I just found out last night that RACHEL PORTMAN has done all the music for the movie! I honestly thought it just couldn't get any better but it just did. I finished the book at work on my short break. I was a frantic lunatic trying to finish this wonderful piece of literature under 10 minutes. well i finished it and was left to my thoughts the remainder of my shift. i honestly don't remember helping a single customer that day cause i was just dazed, completely and utterly dazed. I RE-watched the trailer today and just broke down into tears. its THAT good. I have been spreading the word and have already handed off the book to a friend and I now share with all of you. my loves. i leave you with this. good night.

warning: you'll probably be confused with the trailer which is why you should read the book.
