studded chokers, black tulle, ripped sweaters, crosses, raven rings, aligator claws, black lipstick, combat boots, studded CROWN HEADPIECES!!?! are just a few of my favorite things right now. Since the weather in california isn't being consistent, I have been swaying from black to florals, black to florals and black to florals, lace, garters and messhhh! but in all of my outfits i just can't help but put a tad/a smidge/a pinch of goth in there. mmm

sooo I kind of want this fox tail keychain, the only thing holding me back is that http://shopnastygal.com only carries GENUINE REALL FOX TAILS. ighh? 

Rumi from FASHIONTOAST was sporting one and I saw a guy in hollywood totally working one too and I want to put it on my new designer studded bag i just bought cause it would look so dankk! 

should i get the fox tail, find a faux fox tail key chain ORR bring back the faux rabbit foot key chain trend back??

jewelry syndrome

It only seems appropriate to do this post now that i'm on a compulsive search to find medieval/chain dangling/bunching of the necklaces/armory-like jewelry...look at previous post. a monster was triggered in me and now I want more. dont you? It's become a domino effect. One thing triggered my want for all this chain-armor-bondage type jewelry which now led me to crave some studded crown headpieces which then has led to an obscene obsession of debating whether i should spend large amounts of money to purchase wicked sweet jewelry on OAKNYC.COM . This is far too much items/photos to post in one sitting so I will be back for more.

I've always been easily swayed with the ways of the medieval times. Though when depicted in films, or tacky entertainment restaurants(medieval times dinner and tournament) it's easy to view the medieval era far less interesting than say...the victorian age. But I have always looked past people's portrayals of it and obsessed with the armory and velvet!

this new jewelry collection takes that chain armory to a better place and makes it chic!

This chick is amazing, not only in her sketched designs, but her designs themselves. She took the tribal trend to a completely new level! The tribal trend right now is way too excessive in trying to look "tribal" and not authentic at all, "oh ya im wearing a tacky tribal print dress and a turban and big clunky savage jewelry...all i need is a spear" well Sofie Ann Madsen Maori created something beautiful. I'm obsessed with her collection. And her sketches are breathtaking! The elongated necks, wrapped fringe qualities just by using shoe laces. The bird headpieces!??!! A force to be reckoned with.

JUST WATCH! ITS BEAUTIFUL!

SOLILOQUY 88 is a fashion film collaboration between Jason Last & art director Jaime Rubiano. 

Commissioned for Hintmag, the film features Rodarte's spring 2010 collection, with shoes by Nicholas Kirkwood for Rodarte. 

Radium, a white radioactive metal with the atomic number 88, turns black when exposed to oxygen. The film explores themes of decay, metamorphosis, transformation, etc, all through the lens of a dystopian and sci-fi vision, with a soundtrack by David Madden.

thrift finds!

I went thrift shopping because it's been a while and by a while I mean like a full month! So the long awaited reunion was so worth the wait! 

found amazing high waisted tye dye cut offs that cost me 3 bucks, now I want to wear them all summer now!

 I also found this sweater dress with crazy ruffles on the arm sleeve?! TO DIE FOR! even the girl who rang me up was jealous I bagged this one!

I almost stopped breathing when I saw this picture of FALLIE'S creation to a new generation of Doc Martens! I literally gasped and hoped they were real but they arent, just another creation of FALLIE but I really really really hope Doc Martens collaborates with this soon to be 13 year old! I would die if these were actually made!! ahh

Ellery may rhyme with jewelry, but Ellery's S/S 11 collection was far more shiner and bling blingy-er? than jewelry will ever be. The collection was magnificent. My favorite piece is the extremely glittery, kind of stone age meets future age dress. it looks like these girls were dipped in a wonderous big human sized bucket of glitter. This all makes me want to start wearing glitter like a second skin now, like a contagious glamorous skin disorder spreading all over my body, transforming me into a glitter monster!

ethereal fashion show

So the fashion show I directed for the past couple of months came to an end on the 14th of May. The show was a success! I am proud of the whole execution, so much work went into it from so many people and I couldn't have been happier for the finished result. The whole idea of the show was this kind of lost in your own dreams. inspired by our fascination with the subconscious mind, or to better give you an idea, scientifically speaking: lucid dreaming! Which is when an individual falls into deep sleep but thinks they are awake, its when the dream seems so real that the dreamer can't tell the difference between dream and reality! KERI(amazing girl!) made an amazing intro video to start our show! It was more of an experience rather than just a fashion show. We wanted the audience to journey into this world with us and be a part of it. When the dvd is ready I will post it here but for now I only have a super low quality version of the intro video only. this intro literally makes your heart beat in ways you have never imagined! its spectacular. it defines what our whole show was!
